Crocs Sandals

At Crocs, they believe that everyone should feel good about every single step they take. That’s why Crocs is committed to reducing the brand’s environmental footprint, promoting togetherness and creating an open environment for all, rooted in a culture of governance, transparency and accountability.

Crocs: Comfort without CO₂

Crocs has embarked on a path to become a net zero brand. This path is paved by sustainable materials and packaging, secondary recycling of Crocs products and the responsible use of resources. Crocs’ Classic Clogs stand out for their low CO₂ footprint compared to many renowned footwear brands. But at Crocs, you won’t be satisfied until net zero is reached – this is the goal the brand has set itself for the year 2030. It’s relying on values based on scientifically sound specifications, making a small but hugely important contribution to limiting global warming. It also helps to keep the designs deliberately purist, while the materials used, and the way Crocs’ Classic Clogs are made already ensure a low footprint.

Crocs Clogs: 100% vegan & bio-based materials with the same feel and functionality

Crocs is well on its way to becoming a 100% vegan brand. Not only does it avoid the use of leather, but the development of the new bio-based Croslite gives Crocs the opportunity to produce the shoe of the future today. Besides being good for the environment, Croslite also rivals previous Crocs models in terms of look, feel and functionality. Croslite is a sustainable material that is largely sourced from scrap from other industries. And when it comes to comfort, Crocs’ Croslite easily rivals comparable materials – all while having less of an environmental impact.

Crocs – the road to a brighter future

Anyone who buys a pair of Crocs today has chosen a brand with a low CO₂ footprint. But the label is constantly working to reduce it even further. That’s why the motto Come As You Are™ continues to apply – thanks to the aforementioned net zero target by 2030 and Crocs’ efforts to make the world a more pleasant place.

It‘s about minimizing waste through recycling. Crocs also plans to switch to renewable energy at its manufacturing facilities. Another piece of the mosaic is reducing packaging, which is why the majority of Crocs slippers is sold without shoe boxes. At the same time, Crocs is looking for sustainable alternatives for all components of its packaging.

Comfort for the socially disadvantaged

To ensure that Crocs shoes are worn and do not end up in landfills, the company donates thousands of pairs of unsold shoes to those in need worldwide. This is a very meaningful action, especially in view of the fact that money is tight for many people today. Through the Crocs Cares program, the brand supports global communities in times of need with in-kind donations, as well as funds and volunteering.

Crocs – a brand that’s synonymous with social competence

All contract factories and direct suppliers around the globe are governed by a Social Compliance Code of Conduct formulated by Crocs. Crocs strives to ensure the best hiring practices, wages and working conditions through both scheduled and unscheduled audits conducted by the label.
